For a final location photography shoot I had two ideas that I really liked and had the same style to them which was Strobist lighting as this technique fascinated and intrigued me.
I researched strobist photography and here are some photographs that inspired me for my work:
Jump! by Lénárt Gábor
This image inspired me because of the fast shutter speed catching the action and the light source coming from behind him but lighting up the rest of the photograph.
Coffee Splash by Steward Photography
This image again inspired me because of the fast shutter speed catching the action shot.
This image was one of my favorites because of the light being in the image. Even though you can see the stand it may not look professional but I really like this technique.

These images also inspired me because they are colorful even though they look grimey and works for the rule of thirds.
After seeing these images these were my ideas:
- Ballerina in a theatre lit up using flash guns to create the stobist effect but also using red head lamps for some lip lighting.
- Going to hyde park and photographing the skaters with a flash gun again for the strobist effect.
I really wanted to do the ballerina idea because it would have been good to see the lip lighting effect with the strobist but as we only had a week and a couple of days i decided trying to get into a theatre and photograph a ballerina would be difficult. So I went with the skating idea as we had already been to hyde park before and the photographs were very good. The plan to go to hyde park was changed because of the april showers and the risk of skaters falling on slippery surfaces or no skaters being there at all. My sisters fiancé goes to the works in leeds so I went there and i took some photographs of a skater to return a couple of nights later to photograph BMX night.
